Yobo Loaned To Fenerbache

Joseph Yobo has rejoined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.

The Nigerian defender spent last season on loan in Turkey, helping the Istanbul outfit secure the league championship.

Fenerbahce were keen to retain the services of the player, who is 31 on Tuesday and a new loan deal was completed before the Turkish transfer deadline passes at 10pm on Monday.

Yobo had looked set to join Fenerbahce at the end of the 2010/11 campaign but instead returned to Merseyside and reported for pre-season training in July.
It became apparent during preparations for the new campaign that his immediate future lay away from Everton and he didn’t feature in any of the Club’s pre-season fixtures.
Yobo, whose Everton contract runs until 2014, joined Everton in 2002, is Nigeria’s captain and has made over 250 appearances for the Toffees.

His last appearance for Everton was in May 2010 in a 0-0 draw at Stoke.

Finally A Footballer That Has Chosen His Family Over Money :D

Former Tottenham, Fulham and Sunderland midfielder Steed Malbranque has quit football at the age on 31 to spend more time with his 4 year old son who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Malbranque made the announcement just weeks after signing a two-year deal and making just one appearance for French Ligue 1 side St Etienne after leaving the Black Cats earlier this summer.
The former France Under 21 international has made just one appearance, as a substitute, for St Etienne and was left out of the squad by coach Christophe Galtier for the clash with Sochaux last weekend.
It is believed Malbranque has now quit the game for good, bringing to an end a successful career which started at Lyon before moving to England.
He joined west London club Fulham in 2001 where he remained for five years before heading across the capital to Tottenham.
He won the league Cup in 2008 before heading north to Sunderland where he made 11 appearances before being told by Steve Bruce that he was surplus to requirements and was allowed to leave the Stadium of Light to join St Etienne

Everton Snaps Up Madrid's Royston Drenthe :D

Everton new boy Royston Drenthe believes his style of play is perfect for the Premier League. The Dutchman arrived from Spanish giants Real Madrid in a deadline-beating loan deal on Wednesday night.
The left-sided flier had been at the Bernabeu for four seasons, starting like a house on fire before later enjoying an eye-catching loan spell at another La Liga outfit, Hercules. And believes his all-action wing play and electric pace will equip him well for English football.
“I want to play as soon as possible,” he declared on evertontv. “I think that my qualities are English qualities in the way I play my football. I have the technique and I like to work hard and English competition is perfect for me.
Drenthe will wear the number 10 shirt vacated by the outgoing Mikel Arteta after he signed for Arsenal just minutes before the transfer window closed. The Dutchman’s first Everton game could be the Goodison Park clash with Aston Villa on 10 September if he is picked for the squad by David Moyes.
